Who are we?

The Asian Deaf Women’s Association (ADWA) is a charity organisation providing support to Asian D/deaf women and mothers with Deaf/Hard of Hearing child / children who are livingin LONDON.

ADWA was established in 1992 to

encourage Asian D/deaf Women to

be independent and to get them

out of their ‘Hidden isolation’.

We recognise that these women have some difficulty in gaining:-

  • Access to general information about     service such as housing, benefits, college, job, training, workshop, and much more;

  • Knowledge of their rights as Asian Deaf Women;

  • Education, life skills or assertiveness;

  • Basic knowledge of numeric (Maths) and literacy (English).
